The Old Libertian Lodge was consecrated in the Indian Temple, Great Queen Street by the Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Brig. Gen. K. Kincaid Smith on Wednesday 25th July 1945.

History

The Lodge was sponsored by Wykeham Lodge 4925 and came into being following a motion in April 1945 by W.Bro S. B. Hartley, and other Brethren, for the formation of a Lodge in connection with the Old Boys’ Association of the Royal Liberty School, Romford.

W. Bro S. B. Hartley was the first Headmaster of the school and also the first Master of the Old Libertian Lodge.

Although now longer a closed school lodge the Lodge does still include several Old Boys of the school amongst its members.

When and where we meet

The Old Libertian Lodge meets at Upminster Masonic Hall, Deyncourt Gardens on the 3rd Friday in October (installation), 2nd Friday in December, 3rd Friday in February, and 1st Friday in May.

Introduction

The Old Libertian Lodge is an Old School Lodge of the Royal Liberty School, Romford. Although no longer a closed school lodge it does still boast several Old Boys of the school amongst its members.

The Lodge is a friendly and vibrant one, with a wide spectrum of members in terms of age and occupation. All enquiries are welcome via the Secretary’s email address.
