The Brothers in Law Luncheon Club (Essex) are getting ready to welcome their Patron and his personal guest
Beautifully set in 42 acres of greenery, Grade II listed manor house Chigwell Hall is the home of the Metropolitan Police Sports Club and a fine location for the members of the Brothers in Law Luncheon Club (Essex) to meet for a friendly, lively and enjoyable lunch three times a year in March, September and December.
Primarily for serving or former Police Officers, membership is open to all Freemasons whose Lodges meet in the Province of Essex and have an interest in policing or who is a friend of or has a connection with a member of a police force. Luncheon Club Members can invite non-masonic guests to their lunches. On Friday 22nd September 2023, the Club President, Grant Tufton, welcomed 30 members and guests to another convivial lunch and £225 was raised in the charity collection.
Grant Tufton is the Group Membership Officer at Loughton Masonic Centre for the Provincial Membership Team and only five days earlier he was presenting the Working Tools to the first initiate since 2019 at Ambresbury Lodge The Future is bright at Ambresbury Lodge as they welcome new Pathway Applicant (essexfreemasons.org.uk) . It was also in 2019 that Grant received his first appointment as a Past Provincial Assistant Grand Registrar (PPAGReg).
The Christmas Lunch is always a special occasion. This year it is on 15th December 2023, to which the Club Patron, Colonel Sir Neil Thorne, a Past Provincial Grand Master (PProvGM) will be bringing as his personal guest, Paul Tarrant, the Provincial Grand Master (ProvGM).
