Open Gardens and £300 for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

Two Lodges combine for a mutually rewarding visit to a Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

30 members, family and friends of Maldon based Wheel of Fellowship Lodge No. 9016 and Witham based Manor of Newlands Lodge No. 6403 visited the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity (HRCC), Open Gardens at Hatfield Peverel, near Chelmsford, on Sunday 25th June 2023. The Charity Steward of the Wheel of Fellowship Lodge, Bob Hendrie, arranged the tour for both Lodges.

The group was met by Community Fundraiser, Gemma Woodhurst and all were delighted to start with delicious cake and tea/coffee in one of the conference rooms. There followed a tour of the centre and a talk about the range of therapies offered and what they can do for not only the patients but their carers and family, by Ben Schneider, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Everyone had a great time and found the centre very interesting and the afternoon very enjoyable.

The Worshipful Master of the Wheel of Fellowship Lodge, John Bacchus, presented HRCC with a cheque for £300 to Gemma at the centre.
