Successful Red Table Meeting at Frederick Leistikow Chapter No. 9143

John Crudgington, the Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals (APGP) for Frederick Leistikow Chapter No. 9143 which meets at Maldon Masonic Hall 

The visiting APGP was even more impressed to discover how successful the Chapter’s Red Table meeting was. The event was held for brethren who are not members of the Royal Arch but who were invited to learn more about the Supreme Order.

Eight Master Masons found out for themselves that the Royal Arch is not just about another set of masonic regalia but is a constructive fourth step which completes the journey in Pure and Ancient Freemasonry.

It was explained that not only does membership bring more understanding, friendship and enjoyment but in addition the Exaltation ceremony, in which every new member becomes a Companion, is regarded as one of the most delightful and memorable ceremonies in Freemasonry.

Afterwards, Bob Hendrie, the Assistant Scribe Ezra, took great pleasure in letting APGP John Crudgington know how successful the Chapter’s Red Table Meeting had been. The Chapter subsequently received five new applications and two other brethren have applied to join Chapters in Chingford and Witham.

Like most other Chapters, No. 9143 has a proud heritage.  In 2022, with the ‘leadership-spirit’ of the Grand Superintendent of Essex who was its first MEZ, Frederik Leistikow has proved that there is a desire among brethren to join the Royal Arch.  

John Crudgington said “The Companions at Frederick Leistikow have also shown that one of the most successful ways for Royal Arch Chapters to encourage and welcome new members to join is to promote and host Red Table Meetings”.
